Cold Water/Ice Rescue Technician Class

Captain Matt Geiger, firefighter/EMTs Bill Tkacs and Mike Sanchez, and firefighters Lynn Benedict and Steve Koza recently completed a cold water/ice rescue technician class hosted by the Delran Fire Department. The crew, with Rescue 3419 providing support, spent two days in February in the frigid waters of Lake Lonnie putting the department's dry suits and other water rescue equipment through its paces. The department now has seven certified cold water/ice rescue technicians.
